Who is Jesus, really?
This is – should be – the heart of your faith.
It is crucial to know who He is... (Matthew 7:21-23): “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’
According to John 6:40, the will of God is belief in Jesus, so the will of God is believing in the person of Jesus. He is NOT - flesh and bone as taught by the LDS.
Matthew 16:17, “And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.” It seems clear that Heavenly Father is not flesh and blood.
In John (3:2) it says Jesus is not a body as men have bodies – because we know we have flesh and bone bodies now, but we don’t know our form in heaven when we will be like Jesus. “Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when He shall appear, we shall be like Him; for we shall see Him as he is.” Jesus is something other than flesh and bone.
1 Corinthians 15:50 says: “Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.” Again – what can we understand from this verse except that there is no flesh and blood in heaven.
All the LDS teaching says that Heavenly Father and Jesus are men – corporeal (flesh and bone). The conflict between the bible and LDS is undeniable.
We believe that the Bible is the true word of God. We believe fully in the testimony of the apostles. John and Matthew are eyewitnesses; Paul is the apostle to the gentiles.They bear witness that the teaching God and Jesus are men of flesh and bone is wrong; the LDS teaching, philosophy, tenets and prophets are all in error.
